Holding Your Sacred Vision

It is vital that we allow for the visions of our life to change, allowing for a greater vision to come into being, one beyond what we would even dare to dream. It is also time to shift from "my" vision to "our" vision, that is, perhaps in the past we have been dreaming of a place/event to happen that has been individually focused. Now it is the time to allow the communal vision to be created, now is the time to know that we need to join together in our creations in wholly new and surprising ways.
Sometimes we are given intimations of where we will be traveling, internally and externally, and it may be some years ahead that we are glimpsing. The prophetic realm operates in a timeless continuum - all it knows is that it will happen. And if we have been shown a vision then it is up to us to hold that vision and tend to it by revisiting and gently acknowledging that we know it exists (for in the prophetic continuum it already does exist). Yet, at the same time, holding the vision lightly so that it can energetically rearrange as it needs to in accordance with the needs of the people and the planet.
Clare of Assisi constantly spoke of the need for flexibility. She gave guidelines for communal living, and yet, at the conclusion of every suggestion she reiterated the need for flexibility with every different circumstance. Can we stand up and say that we are truly flexible? Too often we get a plan in our mind and follow it rigidly no matter what, often defying the clear and yet often-times subtle direction from the Spirit that may be asking us to change direction.
Why is it so hard to change direction? It is a good question. And I think a very pertinent one for us today. Do we need to change direction? Are we feeling heavy and laden down in the way we are currently walking? If so, then look the other way and listen. Feel and hear the lightness of your own spirit talking to you, and don't be afraid to follow - chances are your happiness lies in wait.
